Sinopsis:
Daisuke Higashida es un estudiante serio de primer año en Higashizaka High School. Even though he is not satisfied with the family who doesn’t laugh at all and makes him tired, he lives a peaceful daily life. Sin embargo, un día su padre tiene su empresa en bancarrota, y no puede pagar compensaciones, facturas telefónicas y boletos de transporte. Daisuke decide trabajar en un restaurante familiar cercano para evitar viajar en bicicleta por 15 kilómetros a la escuela cuando su padre le pide que tenga un trabajo part-time.
